Welcome to a new series of Shamba Shape Up celebrating our tenth anniversary.
This week we have a something special for you:
First
We get to learn how meat is processed (go through all the different stages) before it is sold in a supermarket counter.
Second
We visit Mburu Njoroge & his wife Magdalene, in slopes of lashed Thika Hills. Although Peter his son is the one who does most of the work in the shamba.
We help Peter with his Avocado trees and learn the importance and how to plant disease free avocados by buying certified tree seedlings.
We also learn how to prepare land for planting cereals like maize through conservation agriculture.
Also how to cook cheaper, cleaner and quicker using an electric pressure cooker.
